season 6 episode: Once more with feeling. Sung by Willow.

This episode was done to show the brilliance that is Joss Whedon as well as to force the characters to tell each other how they really felt. This marked a turning point for all the characters to finally grow up. It also served as the official marker for the unraveling of the childhood relationships of the Scoobies.

Too bad real life doesn't have convenient plot twists to insert when tension mounts it's highest. I guess that shows that real life always gives us the choice to be mature rather than forcing us to be mature and then learning to deal with the consequences like our fantasy series of Buffy.

Astute observation Mr.Halfro. I would wager that real life has convenient plot twists to signal the end of an era or the beginning of a new one. Your dog dies, your car explodes, or your girlfriend of three years breaks up with you.

What we do not have in real life that would be really useful is a script. A musical number that would allow us to sing our feelings or a dancing demon that will take someone to hell if you don't solve the problem. Real active commentary on the plot twists. That would be a beautiful thing.
